Luka Wegner is a Brisbane-based musician, director, and producer working across film, television, and music.
He brings a distinctive voice to every project, connecting sound, story,
and visual atmosphere through cinematic, narrative-driven work.

Luka Wegner is a musician carving out a bold and distinctive sound.

Listen to Luka’s latest release, No Sun Above a dark, cinematic piece inspired by James Bond, blending delicate strings, haunting synth, and moody lyrics in the vein of Billie Eilish and Radiohead. Written and composed by Luka with lead vocals by Harlan, available now on Spotify.
Luka is also credited as co-composer and pianist on 17 by Harlan.

Live Performances
Luka has performed at venues, competitions, and events across Brisbane, including the BlueCare charity event A Night to Remember, and alongside established local performer Franky Smart.
In 2025, he performed as keyboardist in the winning band at Battle of the ROCK Bands.

Achievements
Luka's work has been recognised across both performance and composition. He holds the QUT Excellence Scholarship (Creative Arts), was named Classical Instrumentalist of the Year and Most Outstanding Keyboardist (2024), and was selected for Triple J Unearthed High and QUT's Vermilion High 2025.
FILM & TV
Luka works across directing, editing, and production, bringing a cinematic sensibility to every project. His focus is on work that balances technical precision with atmosphere, emotion, and story.
Featured Work
Luka's work spans short film and music video production, with a consistent focus on cinematic style and narrative-driven storytelling. His most recent project is a music video for Jackson Mercer's single "Anxiety", directed, edited, and produced by Luka, available May 8.

Experience & Training
Luka has hands-on experience across film and television production, having worked within on-set environments in both creative and technical capacities.
He holds a Certificate III in Screen and Media, with training across camera operation, editing, live production, and technical workflows.

Achievements
Luka's film and production work has been recognised at both school and industry level. He is a Blue Heeler Film Festival finalist, and has been awarded Director of the Year in 2024 and 2025, and Technical Producer of the Year in 2025, by the Australian School of the Arts.
